Maintenance Technician

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Counsels analysis of mechanical and operational problems on facility equipment, plans and implements corrective actions.
  • Represents the company in dealings with outside contractors, vendors, and consultants regarding the maintenance of the facility.
  • Affords oversight to the continuous monitoring of production and process equipment for proper operation via routine inspections.
  • Participates in the creation, maintenance, and implementation of a preventative maintenance program for production, including the inspection of plant equipment and inventory for replenishment of parts.
  • Maintains documentation, machine history, and all relevant documentation for production equipment, including records of tool and equipment usage throughout the facility, and inspects or requests replacement for any tools/equipment as needed.
  • Maintains organization of the Maintenance Repair Area and any other area where repair work is in progress.
  • Performs fabrication, welding, design, and other duties essential to the successful operation of the company.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance-related field.
  • Working knowledge and hands-on general maintenance experience in welding, hydraulics, pneumatic, fabrication, and electrical operations.
  • Electrical experience, including both single-phase and three-phase power supplies.
  • Ability to walk, climb, lift loads up to 50 lbs., and perform other physical duties necessary to inspect all areas of the facility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
