Maintenance Technician

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform maintenance tasks, safety checks, and mechanical repairs on all production equipment.
• C Conduct routine preventative maintenance and service on machinery according to established schedules.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues by observing equipment operation, identifying root causes, and performing corrective repairs.
• I Install, adjust, or relocate machinery and equipment as needed to support production needs.
• E Interpret and work from sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.
• M Ensure equipment and infrastructure meet OSHA and local safety standards.
• D Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment by following all safety procedures and regulations.
• D Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status to supervisors and production leadership.
• S Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• R High School Diploma
• R 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing or CPG strongly preferred).
• R Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, pneumatics, hydraulics, and machine troubleshooting.
• R Hands-on experience repairing motors, belts, chains, bearings, sensors, valves, and production equipment.
• R Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
• R Knowledge of food safety practices, and safe machine operation standards.
• R Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• R Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to equipment issues.
• R Basic computer skills for entering work orders and maintenance documentation.
• R Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, control panels, and automation troubleshooting.
• R Experience with CMMS systems.
• R Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
• R Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• R Ability to work in production environments with varying temperatures.
• R Comfortable working around machinery, conveyors, and industrial equipment.
