Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are Fellowship Square Tucson, a not-for-profit senior living community seeking a hardworking, dedicated MAINTENANCE TECH to join our Christian Care Family.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
• Complete work orders and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
• Ability to self-direct work.
• Ability to communicate with and relate well to the elderly.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in maintenance work. Prior professional experience with commercial and/or residential property maintenance a plus.
• Able to acquire a fingerprint clearance card from the State of AZ within the first month of employment.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to work well alone or in a team environment. Must be available to work varying shifts as needed.
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action and to remain calm during emergency situations.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, and the general public.
• Must be a team player.
• Shift M-F; occasional on-call for weekends and after hours.
