Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance work orders on plant electrical and mechanical equipment as schedule requires
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a timely manner to keep the plant on schedule
- Monitor all production equipment for operational performance
- Work with plant management to improve performance
- Resolve all electrical and PLC controls problems in a timely manner to keep the plant on schedule
- Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations of Charah and its customers
- Keep the assigned area organized and clean
- Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required
- A minimum of five years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment as a mechanic/electrician required
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical millwright procedures preferred
- Knowledge of PLC’s, process controls, latter logic and Wonder Ware software preferred
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, welding and plumbing procedures preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school or trade school in mechanical and electrical areas preferred
- Working knowledge of materials, methods, and procedures involved in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance preferred
