Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance work orders on plant electrical and mechanical equipment as schedule requires
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in a timely manner to keep the plant on schedule
  • Monitor all production equipment for operational performance
  • Work with plant management to improve performance
  • Resolve all electrical and PLC controls problems in a timely manner to keep the plant on schedule
  • Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations of Charah and its customers
  • Keep the assigned area organized and clean
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • A minimum of five years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment as a mechanic/electrician required
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical millwright procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of PLC’s, process controls, latter logic and Wonder Ware software preferred
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, welding and plumbing procedures preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school or trade school in mechanical and electrical areas preferred
  • Working knowledge of materials, methods, and procedures involved in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance preferred
