Responsibilities
- Review work orders and assign and proactively attend to the work.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications.
- Servicing manufacturing equipment, boilers, air compressors, and electric lift trucks.
- Maintenance duties include machining, electrical, hydraulics, steam, pneumatics, and welding.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
- Share ideas for improvement with department manager.
Requirements
- 2 years preferred of electrical experience.
- Preferrable to be proficient in all aspects of electrical voltage, distribution, code interpretation and application.
- Must have the ability to work without supervision and to train mechanics of all levels in safe electrical work practices.
- Must have a high school diploma/GED.
- Must have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of PLC computer programming, robotics, and related electronics is an asset.
- Selected candidate must possess their own tools.
- MUST be able to pass a Maintenance skills assessment.
