Maintenance Line Technician

Status: Full Time Day Shift [or Full Time Night Shift]
Hours: 12-hour shift - 6a-6p [or 6p-6a]
Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating shifts (work 15 days a month! )
Compensation: $24.50 - $29.50 per hour depending on experience [Plus, a $2.00 night shift differential, if applicable]

About the Role

This position is in charge of assisting in the maintenance of all plant processes in their assigned area of responsibility, maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Mainters activities in area of responsibility at all times during shift
  • Learns and applies new processes and procedures in area of responsibility, as well as trains, leads and communicates effectively with all co-workers
  • Evaluates and continuously improves processes in area of responsibility working to minimize change over times
  • Ensures every detail and specification of each product is met
  • Follows work direction effectively, completes/oversees all record keeping and performs all tests as required
  • Maintains spare parts inventory, notifies manager when running low
  • Maintains appropriate sanitation records, keeps track of what chemicals are used and in what concentration
  • Gives Public Relations tours and acts as spokesperson for the company when requested
  • Operates and maintains all equipment area of assigned responsibility, ensuring its working properly and as efficiently as possible
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance on equipment as well as repair work
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor/customer
  • Adheres to and complies with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook
  • Adheres to and complies with quality production and Food Safety

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical background, including thorough knowledge in areas of maintenance, plumbing, electrical, welding, heating, and refrigeration
  • Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of company web-based programs
  • Ability to read and interpret in English
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records with math and science skills

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a Production environment
  • Forklift certification
