About the role

The Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance in a large multi-building manufacturing and services facility. Tasks span a variety of skilled trades including welding, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, hydraulics, HVAC, tool and die repair, and resin/gel equipment troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and repair mechanical problems, with primary focus on HVAC systems, electrical installation/repair, and maintenance/repair of resin and gel spray systems
• Repair and maintain forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other industrial equipment
• Fabricate wood and steel items
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motor controls, heating & cooling systems, and lighting circuits
• Perform varied and dynamic daily job duties requiring high levels of customer service and attention to detail
• Track workload via daily schedules and assignments, ensuring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness
• Comply with safety policies and procedures, identifying risks and hazards prior to job completion
• Work throughout the facility with high foot travel, lifting overhead within prescribed safety limitations
• Work at heights: ladders, rooftops, booms and lifts, work platforms, etc.
• Work outside in all possible weather conditions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED required
• Three to five (3-5) years facility maintenance experience preferred, including one-year experience repairing pneumatic and fluid pump spray equipment
• Experience with Magnum-Venus internal and external spray systems a plus
• Strong mechanical and electrical background and experience
• Experience with electrical motor controls and programming a strong plus
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics and building to specifications
• Certification in forklift and high lift (genie boom) operations required
• Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, powered and manual
• Ability to read measurement devices, including OHM/voltage meters, measuring tapes, calipers, and various equipment gauges
• Ability to use MS-Office and other online resources
• Good physical condition and agility, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods

Safety Requirements

• Must always work safely and report all hazards to Supervisor immediately
• Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies
• Must wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
• Must be able to physically perform job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must understand all safety-related documents, worksite rules, equipment operating instructions, and health and safety requirements

Schedule

Typically, four (4) days per week at 10 hours per day, 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Thursday. Friday and weekend overtime as required by workload and repair needs.

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this position is $21.22 to $25.80 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
