Maintenance Technician
About the role
The Maintenance Technician position is available within The Apartment Community at Brookfield Properties. Brookfield Properties offers a variety of options for different stages of life, all with the goal of providing unparalleled quality, service, and support to residents.
Responsibilities
- Repairs and cleans HVAC systems
- Replaces and installs plumbing fixtures and parts
- Repairs and installs carpentry items such as doors, shelves, countertops, and locks
- Performs drywall/plaster repairs and painting
- Replaces lighting, wiring, and power circuits for electrical/appliance maintenance
- Maintains machinery like chillers, belts, pumps, and fans
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property
- Preferred certifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing
- Valid driver's license may be required based on property needs
- Self-motivated, team-player, strong communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability skills
- Computer and smartphone literacy required
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements
