Overview
The Maintenance Technician position within the apartment community is seeking a skilled individual who excels in problem-solving and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves a variety of tasks including HVAC repairs, plumbing installations, carpentry, painting, electrical/appliance maintenance, and machinery repair.
Skilled Requirements
- Repairs and replacements for HVAC systems
- Repairs and installations for plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.
- Repairs and installations for carpentry items like doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
- Drywall/plaster repairs and painting
- Lighting, wiring, power circuits, switch replacement, lamp replacement, etc. for electrical/appliance maintenance
- Repair and maintenance of chillers, belts, pumps, fans, etc. for machinery
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of experience in commercial property or multi-unit residential property
- A high school diploma or GED, with 3-4 years of experience potentially offsetting the minimum educational requirement
- Possibly required certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing, depending on the property
- Valid driver's license may be needed based on property needs
- Self-motivated, team-player, strong communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability skills
- Ability to work weekends - Saturdays and Sundays
- Computer and smartphone literacy required
- Clear and effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities
- Multilingual skills are a plus
