About the role

The Maintenance Technician position within the apartment community is seeking a skilled individual who excels in problem-solving and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves a variety of tasks including HVAC repairs, plumbing installations, carpentry work, painting, electrical/appliance maintenance, and machinery repair.

Responsibilities

Repairs and cleans HVAC systems
Replaces and installs plumbing fixtures and parts
Repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, and other carpentry work
Performs drywall/plaster repairs and painting
Replaces lighting, wiring, power circuits, and switches, and replaces lamps
Maintains chillers, belts, pumps, fans, and other machinery
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property
Preferred certifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing
Valid driver's license may be required depending on property needs
Self-motivated, team-player, strong communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability skills
Computer and smartphone literacy required
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities
May be required to work weekends - Saturday and Sunday

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED
3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements for this position
