Maintenance Technician
About the role
The Maintenance Technician position within the apartment community is seeking a skilled individual who excels in problem-solving and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves a variety of tasks including HVAC repairs, plumbing installations, carpentry work, painting, electrical/appliance maintenance, and machinery repair.
Responsibilities
- Repairs and cleans HVAC systems
- Replaces and installs plumbing fixtures and parts
- Repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, and other carpentry work
- Performs drywall/plaster repairs and painting
- Replaces lighting, wiring, power circuits, and switches, and replaces lamps
- Maintains chillers, belts, pumps, fans, and other machinery
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1-2 years of required experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property
- Preferred certifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on property needs
- Self-motivated, team-player, strong communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability skills
- Computer and smartphone literacy required
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, for all work-related responsibilities
- May be required to work weekends - Saturday and Sunday
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3-4 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements for this position
