Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through manner in which work is performed and services delivered.
- Complete removal, disposal and delivery of furniture.
- Assemble furniture systems.
- Ensures work order requests are completed on time ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain quality standards for BGIS and the client.
- Perform activities in accordance to established processes as well as internal and external requirements.
- Monitor sub-contractors to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Perform regular walkthroughs to provide observations about furniture condition and deficiencies and offers recommendations for enhancement and repair.
- Respond to routine and on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective maintenance relating to furniture systems and furniture repairs.
- Maintain work order records within service management maintenance database.
- Participate in facility-related projects.
- Maintain all assigned tools and arrange for repair and replacement as required.
- Submit all expenditures on a timely basis.
- Attend training, safety meetings, operational meetings, toolbox talks and other information sessions.
- Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, And Abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus some trade related training.
- Ability to adhere and properly execute processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance.
- Experience in assembling/disassembling furniture systems preferred.
- Previous work in basic furniture repairs such as arm, aster, and pneumatic cylinder preferred.
- Strong environmental, health and safety mindset.
- Ability to perform work in a safe manner.
- Strong client service orientation along with a high sense of urgency.
- Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
- Ability to work independently and contribute positively to teamwork.
- Entry level knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Current valid driver’s license and ability to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office with reimbursement.
