Maintenance Technician
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Respond to client service requests.
- Monitor service requests in work order management system.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and maintain positive and professional working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Respond to off-hour emergency calls.
- Work with vendors and contractors to monitor and ensure work meets BGIS and client standards.
- Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives assigned.
Maintain Building Systems
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
- Auxiliary building systems necessary to keep systems operating at peak performance with minimal downtime.
- Maintain facility equipment as indicated by preventative maintenance plans.
- Provide general building maintenance and perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades.
- Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
- Forward high-level technical maintenance to appropriate resource.
Knowledge And Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of experience with building/facility operations or training equivalent.
- Experience or knowledge of maintaining building infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience in mechanical/electrical service, install, or repair is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with verbal and written messaging.
- Ability to work independently and contribute positively to teamwork.
- Problem Solving approach to review potential solutions and provide timely client service.
- Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability and willingness to travel.
