Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Weighs in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical failures.
• Repairs and replaces defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment on a different shift depending on the production schedule.
• Performs facility maintenance, including plumbing, patching walls, electrical repairs, etc.
• Reads and interprets technical manuals to perform accurate repairs.
• Maintains accurate records of mechanical activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and service logs.
• Ensures compliance with safety protocols and standards during all maintenance activities.
• Collaborates with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommends improvements for reliability and efficiency.
• Follows GMP and Food Safety and complies with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as Maintenance Worker for at least 3 years.
• Handles the physical demand of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting at least 50lbs.
• Experience in food manufacture is 3 years minimum.
• Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Team player able to work well with others and contribute to the team.
• Able to work weekends and Holidays when required.
• Able to take the initiative when needed.
• Bilingual (Spanish) HVAC knowledge (Optional).
