Responsibilities
- Weighs in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical failures.
- Repairs and replaces defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment on a different shift depending on the production schedule.
- Performs facility maintenance, including plumbing, patching walls, electrical repairs, etc.
- Reads and interprets technical manuals to perform accurate repairs.
- Maintains accurate records of mechanical activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and service logs.
- Ensures compliance with safety protocols and standards during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborates with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommends improvements for reliability and efficiency.
- Follows GMP and Food Safety and complies with company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as Maintenance Worker for at least 3 years.
- Handles the physical demand of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting at least 50lbs.
- Experience in food manufacture is 3 years minimum.
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Team player able to work well with others and contribute to the team.
- Able to work weekends and Holidays when required.
- Able to take the initiative when needed.
- Bilingual (Spanish) HVAC knowledge (Optional).
