Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in maintaining a high standard of living for our residents at Lincolnshire West Apartments in Dekalb, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, along with experience using common tools.

Responsibilities

• Auxiliary preparation of vacant units for new residents.
• Responding to maintenance requests and ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks such as light bulb and filter changes, painting, drywall repair, and lock maintenance.
• Maintaining the pool (if applicable).
• Assisting with snow removal and keeping maintenance records.
• Rotating on-call duties for emergency maintenance.
• Keeping common areas and grounds clean.
• Communicating effectively with residents, teammates, and vendors.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and basic tools.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; trade school a plus.

Skills

• Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry experience.
• Familiarity with common tools.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20 - $32 per hour.
