Maintenance Technician
About the role
We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Gruene Crossing. This position involves a variety of tasks from routine repairs to proactive maintenance, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
- Carry out general carpentry duties like wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, and finish carpentry.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, including siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pools, golf-carts, elevators, and more.
- Complete work orders promptly and ensure they meet company and resident standards.
- Inspect property grounds, buildings, and amenities to maintain safety and cleanliness.
- Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal, fires, and floods.
- Communicate maintenance issues to leadership and address them promptly.
- Maintain a safe environment by observing and promoting safety protocols.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance as needed, adhering to response times and addressing emergencies.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, interacting courteously with residents.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, other properties, and associated agencies.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including risk management programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in property management or a related field.
- General maintenance and carpentry skills.
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Proficiency with general office equipment and basic math skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and cope with challenging situations.
- Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policy.
- Compliance with safety requirements and risk management programs.
Skills
