Maintenance Technician
About the role
We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at Brentwood Estates. This position involves addressing a variety of maintenance tasks and ensuring high standards of customer service and property upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
- Carry out general carpentry duties like wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, and window/glass repair.
- Conduct proactive preventative maintenance on siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pools, golf-carts, elevators, etc.
- Verify and complete all work orders in a timely manner to meet company and resident standards.
- Inspect property grounds, buildings, and amenities to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Assist with property emergencies such as snow removal, fires, and floods.
- Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership regarding maintenance issues.
- Maintain a professional and safe environment by observing and promoting safety protocols.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance assignments and address emergencies appropriately.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, interacting courteously with residents.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, other properties, and associated agencies.
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in property management or a related field.
- General maintenance and carpentry skills.
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic math skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policy.
- Compliance with safety requirements and risk management programs.
- Completion of the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.

Pay
$22 to $23 per hour, with a 20% housing discount available.
Schedule
Monday through Friday.
