About the role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at Brentwood Estates. This position involves addressing a variety of maintenance tasks and ensuring high standards of customer service and property upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
  • Carry out general carpentry duties like wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, and window/glass repair.
  • Conduct proactive preventative maintenance on siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pools, golf-carts, elevators, etc.
  • Verify and complete all work orders in a timely manner to meet company and resident standards.
  • Inspect property grounds, buildings, and amenities to ensure safety and cleanliness.
  • Assist with property emergencies such as snow removal, fires, and floods.
  • Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership regarding maintenance issues.
  • Maintain a professional and safe environment by observing and promoting safety protocols.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance assignments and address emergencies appropriately.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, interacting courteously with residents.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, other properties, and associated agencies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and comply with company policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in property management or a related field.
  • General maintenance and carpentry skills.
  • A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Basic math skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policy.
  • Compliance with safety requirements and risk management programs.
  • Completion of the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.

Skills

  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay

$22 to $23 per hour, with a 20% housing discount available.

Schedule

Monday through Friday.
