Maintenance Technician

About the role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Avenue5 Residential. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring high standards of customer service and property upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Address electrical, plumbing, appliance, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance needs.
• Perform general carpentry tasks like wallboard repair, countertop replacement, and window repair.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on siding, painting, lighting, pools, golf-carts, elevators, etc.
• Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership regarding issues and assist with property emergencies.
• Maintain safety and risk management practices according to local, federal, state, and company guidelines.
• Assist with after-hours maintenance assignments and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and interact courteously with residents.
• Participate in the company's risk management program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in property management or a related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Basic mathematical functions and ability to cope with challenging situations.
• Professional appearance and compliance with uniform policy.
• Completion of the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
