Maintenance Technician
About the role
We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at Avenue5 Residential. This position involves addressing a variety of maintenance tasks and ensuring high standards in customer service and property upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
- Carry out general carpentry duties like wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, and window/glass repair.
- Conduct proactive preventative maintenance on siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pools, golf-carts, elevators, and more.
- Verify and complete all work orders to meet company and resident standards.
- Inspect property grounds, buildings, and amenities to ensure safety and cleanliness.
- Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal, fires, and floods.
- Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership regarding maintenance issues.
- Maintain safety and risk management standards.
- Participate in emergency on-call/after-hours maintenance.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and interact courteously with residents.
- Foster a positive relationship with residents and other properties.
- Adhere to company risk management policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in property management or a related field.
- General maintenance and carpentry skills.
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic math skills and ability to cope with challenging situations.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Professional appearance and uniform compliance.
- Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.

Pay
$20 to $23 per hour.
