Maintenance Technician

About the role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Remington Village. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, ensuring high standards in customer service and property upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Address electrical, plumbing, appliance, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance needs as directed.
• Perform general carpentry tasks like wallboard repair, countertop replacement, and window repair.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pools, golf-carts, and elevators.
• Complete work orders promptly and ensure they meet company and resident standards.
• Inspect property grounds and common areas for safety and cleanliness, identifying issues needing maintenance.
• Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and fire/flood responses.
• Communicate maintenance issues to leadership and address them promptly.
• Maintain a safe environment by following safety protocols and responding to emergencies.
• Interact professionally with residents, fostering a positive relationship.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in property management or a related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• A valid driver's license, clean record, and current auto insurance.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Basic math skills and the ability to cope with challenging situations.
• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policies.
• Compliance with safety and risk management requirements.
• Completion of the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
