Responsibilities

  • Work in a supportive environment promoting advancement opportunities and a healthy work-life balance.
  • Perform duties associated with a Maintenance Technician, including diagnosing and repairing problems in areas like HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features, and waste management systems.
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs, ensuring vacant apartment homes are rent-ready in a timely manner.
  • Maintain customer service standards, responding to resident requests and resolving problems and complaints.
  • Follow all applicable Atria Policies and Procedures, including company operating and safety standards, and promote safe work practices among on-site staff.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, particularly Fair Housing regulations, building codes, and environmental laws and regulations.
  • Organize and prioritize service requests and general maintenance tasks.
  • Drive company vehicle from community to social and other destinations (if required).
  • Supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • One year experience in property management maintenance.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for calculations and analysis.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment and maintain general maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with Atria’s motor vehicle policy standards.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features, and waste management systems.

Skills

  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Operate general office equipment.
  • Use general maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair problems in various areas.
  • Drive company vehicle (if required).
  • Supervise the work of others.
