Maintenance Technician

Daily responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
  • Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance and repairs on systems & equipment as needed.
  • Maintain company issued vehicle (routine PM’s, oil changes etc.), if applicable.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of general, residential, maintenance experience
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
  • Customer service focused and team oriented
  • Self-motivated, proactive, takes the initiative, with strong follow-up skills
  • Knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes and maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.); OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements and State or local governmental safety requirements
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills
  • Valid driver's license is required
