About the role
Alongside our production teams, our Maintenance Technicians work in a team or autonomously to continuously improve our equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Our Maintenance Technicians help drive plant goals & objectives through individually led projects and continuous improvement activities. Maintenance technicians support brewing, packaging, quality and logistics and are the site utility equipment operators.
Responsibilities
- Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support to all areas of operations.
- Maintain and repair equipment, disassembling and reassembling machinery, rebuild assemblies and replace parts as necessary.
- Perform electrical work up to 480VAC 3PH.
- Troubleshoot PLCs and variable frequency drives.
- Work on electrical control systems.
- Perform mechanical work e.g., bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacements, valve and pump maintenance, hydraulics, lubrication.
- Adhere to plant safety and sanitation requirements.
- Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Be part of an effective work planning process that utilizes work order, planners, and part staging.
- Assist with process improvement and initiate change.
- Use CMMS to detail corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the shift; including searching for and issuing parts, documenting equipment issues and entering inspection/measurement points.
- Drive plant goals & objectives through individually led projects and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform quality, maintenance and housekeeping checks while managing the technical process.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-year industrial mechanical/electrical experience or two-year technical degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds.
- Knowledge/experience with process controls, instrumentation, and calibration.
- Knowledge/experience with boilers, chillers, compressors and bulk CO2 systems.
- Ability to perform mechanical work.
- Familiarity with multimeters.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Adhere to plant safety and 5S requirements; Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Strong problem-solving skills - ability to troubleshoot, identify root causes (e.g. six sigma analysis) and propose and implement remedies.
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required (e.g. lock out / tag out, work at heights, confined space entry).
- Must be able to continuously stand, bend, and twist.
- Must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Computer skills required; Microsoft Office Excel proficiency as well as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience preferred.
- Ability to work off shifts (afternoons and midnights) and overtime as necessary.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures and climates.
Pay
$29.25/hour + 10% shift differential for overnight shift
Schedule
- Overnight Maintenance 11 PM – 7 AM
- Sunday Night – Thursday Night
- Day shift for training
