About The Role
Amsted Automotive, Shelby Township, is seeking an experienced 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) Maintenance Technician.
What You'll Do
- Repair and Maintenance of building, presses, and equipment throughout plant
- Operation of forklift and man lift
- Supports the team goals of the assembly, and press departments
- Participates in press set-ups, teamwork, and continuous improvement of press set-up time
- Adheres to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tag out and electrical safe work practices
- Follows all maintenance systems and proper documentation procedures as outlined in the work instructions, including preventive maintenance procedures, downtime recording procedure, work order procedures
- Serves as a wastewater handler commensurate with completion training
- May receive direction from General Production Supervisor, Production Supervisors, and Team Leaders
- Adapts and promotes lean manufacturing principles
- Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
- Supports the Company’s Goals and Objectives

What Else You'll Need To Know
- Excellent manual dexterity with the ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds frequently
- Work may require extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, and performing repetitive motion tasks
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to service the lights and ceiling fans
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to noise
- Must be able to work necessary overtime if required
Education
- Preferred Technical/other training or better
- High School or better
