Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in manufacturing equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems
- Work with electrical systems, including motors, sensors, and control panels, while adhering to safety standards
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems, including air hoses, fittings, valves, solenoids, and actuators
- Make precise adjustments to machinery to optimize performance and ensure quality production
- Adjust equipment as necessary to meet operational standards
- Well versed on the use of various hand tools and power tools
- Basic understanding of Automation equipment
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Work closely with production and quality staff to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding equipment status and maintenance needs
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on equipment maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory
- Control spare parts availability and usage
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-year previous experience as a maintenance technician or in a maintenance position
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials up to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail, Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
