Position Purpose
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. The Maintenance Technician supports the location's safety and predictive and productive maintenance systems to achieve location goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of production machines and facility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding systems.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete tasks accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment, following lockout/tag-out procedures and safety regulations.
- Operate from elevated platforms and mobile lift equipment as needed.
- Report defective materials, faulty operations, or unusual situations to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records in computerized maintenance systems and ensure work areas are clean and organized.
- Support company values and continuous improvement efforts by performing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Work Experience: 1-3 years Minimum of 2 years of vocational or technical training in industrial mechanics, pneumatics, or hydraulics; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal training.
- - Required 1 year Industrial mechanical maintenance experience
- - Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with PLC controls and ladder logic. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and diagrams. Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively. Proficient in using computers and software for maintenance management, troubleshooting, and reporting, across various operating systems and platforms. Ability to work independently and with multiple team members. Ability to properly assess and prioritize tasks. Ability to comprehend and follow instructions. Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing environment.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
Licenses and Certifications
- Forklift Certification or ability to obtain
