Summary
The successful candidate will troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain manufacturing and ancillary equipment. Essential duties include troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain manufacturing and ancillary equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Possess an ability to use monitoring and testing equipment to facilitate troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and maintaining manufacturing and ancillary equipment.
- Further abilities, skills, and knowledge to expand capabilities in troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and maintaining existing and new equipment and technology.
- Work safely, follow LO/TO and electrical safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- Two-year certificate from college or technical school with a focus in machining and/or electronics; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell.
- May require manual lifting not to exceed 50 lbs – reference your department-specific JHA (job hazard analysis) for departmental lifting restrictions.
