About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance of production machinery and equipment and physical plant in accordance with state, federal and company policies and procedures. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts regularly scheduled maintenance on production machinery and equipment to maintain them in a proper working condition.
  • Is responsible for the daily maintenance operations of the facility.
  • Reports directly to the maintenance supervisor on issues, status and functions within the department.
  • Will need to be “on call” to assist with any maintenance operational needs.
  • Diagnoses problems with equipment & repair/replace defective parts
  • Fabricates as needed
  • Supports & Complies with safety & environmental guidelines.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Basic math skills
  • Previous knowledge of machinery used in polyethylene film manufacturing
  • Welding skills
  • Three to five years of experience in industrial maintenance, electrical or mechanical field or in a related experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems
  • No fear of heights
  • Basic manufacturing wiring experience
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Able to work independently as well as in-group settings
  • Strategic thinker

Skills
