Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, appliances, drywall, and general building equipment.
• Inspect apartments and common areas to identify issues, maintain safety standards, and stay ahead of potential problems.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff with efficiency and professionalism.
• Complete and document work orders accurately and on time.
• Track and maintain inventory of tools, materials, and supplies.
• Keep buildings, common areas, and exterior grounds clean and well-maintained.
• Prepare apartments for new residents through painting, cleaning, repairs, and upgrades.
• Cook up and assist with capital improvement projects and provide regular progress updates.
• Purchase materials and confirm delivery and inventory tracking.
• Follow all company policies, including safety protocols and fair housing regulations.
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by property leadership.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certifications a plus.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance, especially within apartment or multifamily housing.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, with a keen eye for detail.
• Owns basic tools required for routine maintenance work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to climb ladders, bend, stoop, and crawl.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
