Maintenance Technician

About the role

Assists in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs. Keeps current on maintenance logs and documentation.
• Manages and maintains tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure maintenance tasks do not interfere with operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested.
• Assists in tests, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under direct supervision.
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on a daily basis and in a timely manner.
• Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English Required
• Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Required
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Required
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes Required
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment Required
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills Required
• Proficient in the operation of gas and electric outside equipment and tools Preferred
• Ability to read and understand work orders Required
• Ability to enter data in CMMS System Required
• Complete all work as assigned Required

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv Required

Experience

• 1+ year experience in healthcare setting Preferred

Licenses and certifications

• Driver's License (DL) Required
