Maintenance Technician

About The Role

We're looking for a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Charleston, SC. In this role, you'll help maintain apartment homes and community spaces by completing maintenance requests, preparing apartments for new residents, and performing preventive maintenance. Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for new residents, including turns and move-outs
• Complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of community grounds
• Complete daily trash pickup and grounds maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair:
• Plumbing
• Basic electrical systems
• Household appliances
• Carpentry and drywall
• Roofing
• Flooring
• Inspect and maintain irrigation systems
• Accurately document completed work and materials used
• Participate in an on-call maintenance rotation
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to provide and use basic hand tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, construction, or apartment maintenance experience
• HVAC, CFC/EPA, or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, or appliance repair

Pay

$25.00–$29.00 per hour
