Maintenance Technician Apprentice

About the role

This will be a State of Wisconsin registered apprenticeship. Apprentices will receive comprehensive academic as well as hands on training in the Maintenance Technician trade.

Responsibilities

• Possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Capable of interpreting and comprehending complex machinery manuals and schematics
• Above average math and computer skills
• Experience working in a team environment

Requirements

• Education Required: High school diploma or GED
• Preferred Experience/Education: Completed or currently enrolled in an accredited Maintenance Technician Program or equivalent program at a Vocational/Technical School with a minimum 2.75 GPA OR 3 years of verifiable Maintenance Technician work experience

Position Requirements

• Follow and abide by all safety rules and requirements
• Hearing protection
• Eye protection
• Safety shoes
• Other safety rules as required
• Lift up to forty pounds frequently and seventy-five pounds or more infrequently or with assistance
• Able to operate motorized equipment and powered industrial machinery
• Work all three shifts throughout apprenticeship
• Work a minimum of an 8-hour shift plus overtime as requested
