Maintenance Technician A (vehicles)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment
• Perform repairs on: Engines and transmissions, Braking systems (air and hydraulic), Suspension, steering, and drivetrain components, Hydraulic and electrical systems, HVAC systems
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections
• Conduct welding and light fabrication as needed
• Maintain accurate service documentation
• Participate in ongoing training and safety programs

Requirements

• A-Level Technicians: Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs, Strong working knowledge across most systems, including: Engine, transmission, diesel emissions, Electrical and hydraulic systems, Suspension, steering, and drivetrain
• B-Level Technicians: Handle routine maintenance and mid-level repairs, including: Brake replacements, Preventative maintenance (oil, fluids, filters), Tire work, Basic electrical troubleshooting, Hydraulic system basics (cylinders, components)

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working on heavy-duty trucks or similar equipment
• Valid driver’s license required
• Own tools required
• Preferred (not required): ASE certifications (T1–T8), CDL (Class B or higher), Experience with alternative fuel systems (CNG/LNG)
