Maintenance Technician A

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment
• Provide scheduled and emergency repairs of production equipment
• Perform machinist duties and responsibilities
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material-handling equipment
• Detect faulty operations and defective material; report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Performance Expectations

• Lifting is required of tools and parts with varying weights of 1 to 100 pounds
• Standing is required, possibly entire shift
• Reaching is required for tools and parts multiple times a day
• Bending is required to pick up parts, tools or do work multiple times a day
• Must use hand, power, and shop tools multiple times a day
• Must be able to distinguish color shade differences
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, and kneel

Experience/Education Requirements

• Previous experience preferred
• High school graduate or GED preferred

Other Requirements

• Overtime is required on occasion
• Self-motivated with the ability to work and perform from home when needed
• Perform any other duties as assigned
