Responsibilities
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment
- Provide scheduled and emergency repairs of production equipment
- Perform machinist duties and responsibilities
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material-handling equipment
- Detect faulty operations and defective material; report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
Performance Expectations
- Lifting is required of tools and parts with varying weights of 1 to 100 pounds
- Standing is required, possibly entire shift
- Reaching is required for tools and parts multiple times a day
- Bending is required to pick up parts, tools or do work multiple times a day
- Must use hand, power, and shop tools multiple times a day
- Must be able to distinguish color shade differences
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, and kneel
Experience/Education Requirements
- Previous experience preferred
- High school graduate or GED preferred
Other Requirements
- Overtime is required on occasion
- Self-motivated with the ability to work and perform from home when needed
- Perform any other duties as assigned
