Maintenance Technician - 7PM-7AM - $28.13-$38.19/hr

About the role

This position is responsible for safely providing maintenance support in our fast-paced Murfreesboro Container plant, which is equipped with technology ranging from simple to state-of-the-art in the corrugated industry. The candidate will utilize both mechanical skills (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication) and electrical/electronic skills (PLCs, A/C, D/C motors and drives, schematics) in our continuous process manufacturing environment to achieve machine uptime and reliability metrics.

Must be team-oriented and able to work positively with other maintenance members and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems. Will be engaged in preventative maintenance processes in assigned areas. This position will be assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical/electronic systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance in assigned areas.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to solve problems and improve machine uptime.
• Work with computer systems for maintenance processes, stores, and work orders.
• Cross-train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
• Work flexible hours, including second and third shifts, call-ins, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Requirements

• Must pass the AON Hewitt test, a requirement for employment as a maintenance technician with International Paper.
• Safety mentality and reliability with attendance and quality of work.
• Mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair experience in a manufacturing facility (preferred).
• Maintenance experience in corrugated industry (a plus).
• Strong knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, electrical, and electronics technologies.
• Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.
• Systems-oriented with the ability to work with computer systems.

Pay

$28.13/hr. up to $38.19/hr.
