Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing intermediate to advanced-level maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment, utilities, and plant infrastructure. This role supports line uptime, ensures equipment is functioning safely and efficiently, and participates in preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance on production lines, utilities, and facility systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and minor electrical issues
- Replace worn components, align equipment, and calibrate as needed
- Use CMMS to complete work orders and log repair history
Equipment Support & Troubleshooting
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Aid in machine startups, changeovers, and performance adjustments
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor
Safety, Compliance & Documentation
- Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and all OSHA safety standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
- Ensure all tools and parts are used/stored correctly
- Accurately complete all maintenance logs and equipment records
Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Sanitation teams to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in training or mentoring Maintenance Technician I team members
- Support equipment installation, upgrades, and project work as needed

High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience required, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing
Trade school, technical certification, or associate’s degree in a related field preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Experience with CMMS systems and basic computer skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights
Excellent troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills
