Maintenance Technician (48328)
About the role
You are responsible for ongoing facility maintenance and repairs to keep the company’s multifamily property operating and appearing at its best.
Responsibilities
- Address work orders before issues escalate into major problems.
- Use your experience in property maintenance (residential or hospitality) to perform light carpentry, painting, minor electrical or plumbing repairs, and HVAC system work.
- Engage with residents in their units and about the property in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Create a safe working and living environment by adhering to a safety-first approach.
- Work full-time Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call hours and weekends as needed.
- Maintain your own tool kit and occasionally use a company-owned vehicle for work.
Requirements

- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in property management or hospitality.
- Prior experience in general building maintenance or painting in a commercial residential environment preferred.
- Prior experience in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use hands to manipulate tools and objects.
- Must be able to move about the property to perform assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and variable climates.

Schedule
Expected work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, plus scheduled on-call hours and occasional weekends.
During high-traffic holiday periods, the position is scheduled according to Company standards; the supervisor must approve schedules.
Travel: Occasionally, may need to drive a company-owned or personal vehicle for business.
Work environment and physical demands: Able to frequently lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds; occasionally needs to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Able to use hands to use and manipulate tools and objects or control equipment; adequate vision to do the same safely; stamina and dexterity; able to move about the property to perform assigned tasks and responsibilities, including standing for extended periods, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to perform functions in various weather conditions and variable climates.
