About the role
Cirba Solutions is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the circular economy model by maintaining and repairing production and facility equipment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, block diagrams, and technical equipment manuals to make recommendations for repairs.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustments to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
- Perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry functions including machine maintenance, building maintenance, laboratory plumbing, lighting, etc.
- Perform electrical work, up to but not requiring a licensed electrician, including pulling electrical wire, bending conduit, replacing outlets, wiring motors, planning installs, and planning modifications.
- Design and lead welding projects to repair and/or fabricate production and maintenance equipment.
- Understand and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic.
- Plan jobs, measure, cut, and install piping and tubing of all types.
- Maintain machinery, equipment, and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, and/or oiling to ensure optimal working order.
- Remove, repair, and re-install diaphragm pumps and associated plumbing.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Communicate with all maintenance technicians and management, both individually and as a group, to ensure all maintenance issues are understood.
- Participate in root cause analysis processes.
Qualifications
- Five (5) years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze electrical/mechanical schematics.
- Basic knowledge and troubleshooting skills of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to identify and diagnose problems and implement corrective action.
- Effective use of Microsoft Office applications and other computer programs.
- Knowledge of company safety, OSHA, and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out.
- Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to be self-motivated.
- Ability to work from heights (ladders, aerial lifts, etc.) and in confined spaces.
Education and Training Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED.
