Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Review work orders to prepare for tasks, ensuring readiness with tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Create work orders in SAP and respond quickly to emergency calls with the right tools and equipment.
• Monitor machinery during operation to detect malfunctions early and ensure production continuity.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, fabricate replacement parts, and test for proper functionality.
• Install and maintain essential systems, including mechanical equipment, piping, and electrical controls, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Follow company safety protocols, including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures, and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment.
• Vocational Diploma, Technical Diploma, or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (preferred).
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.
• Operate forklifts, genie lifts, or scissor lifts or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
• Read and execute work orders, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of related experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment.
• Technical Diploma, Vocational Diploma, or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (preferred).

Skills

• Sharp problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of small hand tools and devices used in general mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to operate forklifts, genie lifts, or scissor lifts or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
• Good understanding of electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, and fabrication.
