The Maintenance Technician

The primary focus of the Maintenance Technician is to maintain and repair equipment, ensuring all equipment and production lines operate according to company standards.

Success Criteria

  • Perform required maintenance of all equipment
  • Aid in the implementation of new equipment and improvements, and troubleshoot existing equipment
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance and production staff to resolve maintenance issues promptly
  • Track and report maintenance issues or future references
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines, and assist in modifying and updating procedures
  • Ensure compound retention schedules are rotated accordingly
  • Stay informed of equipment updates and operational issues and take appropriate actions
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance and production staff to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V
  • Use digital voltmeters
  • Support general maintenance activities as needed
  • Work a flexible schedule including off shifts and weekends as needed
  • Continued education—internal & external training opportunities
  • Handle and resolve problems
  • Perform any other work-related functions as requested by management
  • Complete written reports
  • Operate forklifts and fill out daily forklift checklists when needed

Your Credentials

  • High School Diploma; Technical Degree Preferred
  • 3-5 years related experience in manufacturing settings
  • VFD, Motor Controls experience
  • PLC troubleshooting and modification experience
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic systems
  • Basic knowledge of chilled water systems
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Strong electrical experience
  • Print Reading
  • Wiring
  • Troubleshooting
  • Detail-oriented, professional, and flexible to the requirements of each project
  • Dependable, reliable, and responsible
  • Driven and self-motivated
  • Ability to complete written reports
  • Computer skills

Pay and Benefits

The hourly rate of pay is commensurate with experience and an electrical assessment conducted by Quanex, starting at $25.00/hr. + $1.00 Shift Differential for 2nd & 3rd shifts. 3rd shift Sunday-Thursday - 10:45pm - 7:00am. Call or text 220-529-0209 to apply!
