Full-Time (3rd Shift): Sunday - Thursday, 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Sign-On Bonus: $2,000, less applicable taxes. (Payable after 90 days of employment)
About the Role
nVent, located in Alexandria, MN, is adding a Maintenance Technician to our team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position significantly contributes to manufacturing operations through responsive and effective improvements and repairs to manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all molding, stamping, assembly, packaging and auxiliary machines
- Perform preventative and autonomous maintenance on equipment
- Make improvements and updates to existing equipment
- Initiate and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement projects
- Effectively use Mapcon to document all work performed on equipment
- Participate in design review activities for new and existing equipment
- Maintain spare parts inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair production machinery; which includes electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Capable for reading and interpreting electrical schematic PLC programs and mechanical blueprints
- Able to operate various shop equipment and hand tools to perform repairs
- Knowledge of world-class manufacturing practices
- General knowledge of Injection molding machines operation and processes
- General knowledge of machine controls
- Strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of computers as well as Microsoft Office, Mapcon and PLC's
- 3-5 years manufacturing maintenance experience

Pay
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
