The Maintenance Technician is responsible for servicing and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment, including Daniels’ robotic washline, autoclaves, boilers, and various other equipment to support site operations both locally and regionally.

About the role

This role involves overseeing the daily cleaning and upkeep of the Sturtevant facility by direct leadership of the custodial employee. The Maintenance Engineer starts up, regulates, repairs, and shuts down equipment, monitors meters, gauges, and computerized controls, uses sophisticated electrical and electronic test equipment to service, troubleshoot, repair, and monitor heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, performs routine maintenance, and interfaces with cross-functional work teams such as plant operations, global operations, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Daily maintenance of equipment
  • Perform hands-on on-site troubleshooting, service, and repairs
  • Communicate with the Service and Engineering team to arrange spare parts, travel schedules, and support
  • Interface with cross-functional work teams such as plant operations, global operations, and suppliers
  • Communicate with Plant Managers to arrange downtime to complete maintenance activities
  • Reports weekly tasks completed & still to be completed
  • Remote service assistance to plants with issues, getting them back in production as quickly as possible
  • Maintain Washsmart inventory at each Daniels location in conjunction with individual plant management to ensure plants are stocked effectively

Requirements

  • Mechanical experience in mechanical assemblies and production equipment & robotics
  • Welding experience, including basic repair work
  • Electrical experience, ability to identify and repair electrical issues and communicate fault conditions
  • PLC experience, ability to troubleshoot PLC controlled machines, with telephone support
  • Ability to work 3rd shift hours

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and industrial machinery
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Pay

Salary range: $XX-$YY based on experience

Schedule

3rd Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, typically starting around 12:00 AM and ending around 8:00 AM
