About the role

CCH builds and manages quality, affordable housing in caring communities. The Maintenance Technician III oversees the day-to-day maintenance operations of assigned properties, ensuring the upkeep and safety of the property.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to caring and positive working and living environments for all employees and residents
  • Affirm safety regulations; identify and report and/or correct safety hazards
  • Perform custodial duties such as cleaning, mopping, emptying trash, replacing light bulbs, etc.
  • Maintain, diagnose, and repair all aspects of physical building, outdoor areas, parking areas, and individual units including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
  • Manage and prioritize work orders in Yardi (or like program) in collaboration with the Assistant Community and Community Managers
  • Monitor and replenish maintenance inventory based on property needs, while staying within budget
  • General carpentry duties to prepare apartments for move-in; including but not limited to cleaning, painting, repairing, replacing, and/or refinishing surfaces, windows, appliances, window coverings, flooring, etc.
  • Move common space furniture, supplies, and equipment
  • Maintain regular inventory of needed supplies including but not limited to tools, equipment, safety and safeguards tools, and chemicals
  • Regularly attends staff meetings and assigned trainings
  • Coordinate with Property and Facilities Management to acquire vendors as necessary
  • Enter completed work orders into the Software system with all detailed information pertaining to each repair
  • Supports with training of new Maintenance team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years as a Maintenance Tech or similar required
  • Prior experience in apartment maintenance or construction required
  • Working knowledge of Yardi or similar program preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to serve with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Qualifications
