About the role
At Milwaukee Tool, our Engineering Team is responsible for developing the batteries, motors, and electronics that power innovative solutions. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll perform maintenance services and repairs across plumbing, carpentry, machine servicing, and electrical systems to support our in-house production and breakthrough technologies.
Responsibilities
- CNC troubleshooting (drives, motors)
- Machine repair and maintenance
- Troubleshoot and correct setups, tooling, and malfunctions
- Operate personnel lifts and forklifts
- Perform repairs and adaptations (e.g., air, grease, coolant lines, switches, belts, guards)
- Fabricate items from wood, metal, and Plexiglas
- Build or fabricate devices to improve quality and production
- Use hand and power tools to move equipment
- Plumbing, welding, construction of metal/wood, brazing, soldering
- Maintenance and inventory supply check-in/out using CMMS system
- Lookup MRO parts using CMMS; provide details for prompt ordering if unavailable
- Non-routine machine maintenance and upkeep
- Evaluate, repair, or replace electrical motors and components
- Wire machines and install new equipment to meet production needs
- Basic PLC maintenance
- Adhere to all safety requirements and practice 6S
Requirements
- 40 semester hours of industrial trade training or 5 years of general maintenance experience
- Qualified electrician with basic electronics knowledge
- Certified forklift operator
- Welding experience
- Industrial electricity/wiring skills
- Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions, drawings, and blueprints
