Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial equipment and building infrastructure to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and infrastructure systems.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on machine failures to implement corrective actions.
- Log maintenance activities, including repairs, modifications, and preventative measures.
- Effectively communicate equipment status, repair progress, and maintenance needs to team members and other departments.
- Participate in initiatives to enhance process efficiency.
- Build partnerships with internal departments and external vendors.
- Engage in ongoing training programs to develop technical skills and knowledge.
- Work individually or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.
- Respond to clean-up of blood-borne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials.
- Ability to perform tasks on a wide variety, and more complex production equipment independently or with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with peers for knowledge sharing and skill development opportunities, taking on more complex troubleshooting responsibilities.
- Participate in rotating on-call duties when assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Broad understanding of industrial maintenance systems and repair.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot equipment failures and perform necessary repairs independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems such as industrial pumps, motors (AC/DC), pneumatic/hydraulic components, gearboxes, bearings, chains/belts, etc.
- Familiarity with electrical control components (e.g., breakers, relays, switches).
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems; PLC-controlled systems preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts/scissor lifts, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay and Benefits
The target hourly range is $27.00 - 34.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. This position qualifies for a shift differential of $3.00 per hour. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs. In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
