Maintenance Technician (2nd shift)

Workplace

Mt. Olive, New Jersey.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and advanced troubleshooting and repairs of production and facility equipment, identifying recurring maintenance issues in the assigned area of activity.
• Congduct electrical or mechanical installation, repair, and troubleshooting of motors, instrumentation and controls.
• Identify deviations and document/communicate them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor contractors on small maintenance projects.
• Work following all relevant requirements including ATEX, GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA and internal safety guidelines.
• Participate in lean activities.
• Maintain level of housekeeping/sanitation/food safety and safety which meets our standards and guidelines.
• Create and close work requests using Maintenance management system (SAP).
• May assist the Maintenance Lead and Supervisor in delivering technical training for the staff and following up on work orders.
• May perform other tasks as assigned.

Academic Background

• Technical engineering diploma or related discipline (pre-university level).
• Certification required in forklift operation and in at least one of the following: pipe fitting, welding, or pump, PLC, electrical, robotics or equipment repair.

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or plant operations (experience in matrix organization preferred).

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
• Basic knowledge of SAP and Excel tools.
• Safely use hand tools and equipment for installation, disassembly and testing of electronic, pneumatic and electrical devices.
• Good mechanical and electrical abilities within e.g. welding, plumbing, pipe fitting or electrical areas.

Pay

Salary Range Based on Experience: $60,000 - $85,000
