Responsibilities
- Operate, repair and maintain building electrical, mechanical, and structural equipment and systems.
- Operate and repair production equipment, material handling equipment, dust collection equipment, electrical controls, programmable systems/VFD’s.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Use power and hand tools to perform tasks such as machine repair, pipe fitting, electrical, electronic, and maintenance.
- Operate fork-lift and MEWP./Man Lift.
- Work with PFAS.
- Perform lubrication basics.
- Review and complete work order assignments.
- Respond to verbal or written work assignments from Maintenance Supervisor or other personnel during back shift/weekend coverage.
- Inform supervisor of work in progress.
- Independently observe, report, and correct facility and equipment discrepancies.
- Check for safety hazards, take corrective action to eliminate safety hazards.
- Maintain applicable logs, records, equipment history folders, and equipment operation and maintenance manuals in an accurate and comprehensive manner.
- Perform any necessary task or assignment needed to ensure consistent service.
- Successfully complete training assignments.
- This job can require emergency call INS and weekend availability.
- Will eventually be a second shift position.
Qualifications/Experience
- High School Diploma or general education degree with trades concentration.
- 1-5 years relevant experience in manufacturing maintenance or industrial technology role.
- Troubleshooting/Root Cause Analysis, bearing replacement, clearance checks, interference fits, lubrication, torque requirements, material handling, operation, and trouble shooting.
- Familiarity with PM procedures, Permit To Work system, pipe fitting, lubrication basics, troubleshooting 24 through 480 voltage, making necessary electrical installations and/or repairs.
