Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery.
- Conduct inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs.
- Respond promptly to emergency unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the production area.
- Monitor and repair facility systems to support a safe and comfortable working environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols, participate in safety training, and contribute to safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to food safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and document equipment repairs and procedures.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide technical assistance and training.
Minimum Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, required.
- Technical school education, preferred.
- 5 years’ related experience in industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
- 5 years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to perform mechanical repairs that include hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to operate a computer to support documentation.
Working Conditions And Physical Effort
- Exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness, poor lighting, noise, and vibration.
- Seasonal exposure to weather elements including extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.
- Physical risks and hazards such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire, and explosives hazards, and communicable diseases.
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, utilize fine dexterity, reach, kneel, crawl, and twist.
- Must be able to see, hear, and communicate with associates professionally.
