Maintenance Technician 2

Position Responsibilities

• Efficiently complete all daily work orders within 24 hours.
• Communicate any delays in completing a work order with the supervisor and management office.
• Troubleshoot repair any maintenance issues involving electrical, plumbing, A/C, HVAC, appliances and carpentry.
• Work with leasing staff team to ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed and on schedule.
• Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance, building mechanicals, service requests and apartment make- ready status.
• Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards.
• Aid in the proper clearing of snow during a snow event.
• Coordinate proper workshop inventory with maintenance supervisor.

Requirements

• High School or GED education
• 1-3 years of direct experience working as a Maintenance Technician or related field
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to respond to on-call emergencies at the property
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance maintenance, and snow removal
• Exhibit exceptional customer service and attention to detail
• Professional, courteous and friendly demeanor. Customer first attitude
• Proactive self-starter and a team-player
• Must be available for weekend inspections, and weekday evening resident meetings, as necessary
• Ability to professionally communicate with residents and staff
