Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

About the role

Taylor DM Brands, formerly Amsterdam Print, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team at their Amsterdam, NY facility. The position offers a competitive starting salary within the range of $20 - $25 per hour, contingent upon qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, maintains, and tests mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.
• Identifies parts for replacement and machines that need new parts and places orders as necessary.
• Requires experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Reports to a supervisor.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks.

Requirements

• Ability to read, interpret, and understand general written instructions from documents such as work orders, parts orders, safety regulations, operating procedures, or other job specific written documents.
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively with fellow employees.
• Valid NYS drivers license.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
• Frequently required to move inside the facility.
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry).

Skills

Pay

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $20 - $25. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
