Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Achieve the goals of Petco by assessing equipment and recommending appropriate courses of action.
• Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts.
• Maintain and repair powered material handling equipment, pick carousels, conveyors, shrink-wrap machines, and inventory racks.
• Perform preventive maintenance of rolling stock and equipment as required.
• Observe and promote established safety procedures.
• Prioritize maintenance of red tagged equipment.
• Assist in physical inventories as required.
• May perform other projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Experience in repairing and maintaining powered industrial equipment such as material handling equipment and automation systems.
• Experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to assess equipment and recommend appropriate courses of action.
• Professional and effective communication skills.
• Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, framing, roofing, painting, and general construction.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing material handling equipment and automation systems.
• Experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment.

Pay

$22.00/hour - $28.00/hour

Schedule

5:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday with OT as needed
